Marubun becomes the only company in Japan to handle radiation measuring equipment; active in dealing with the No. 5 Fukuryu Maru (a tuna fishing boat) incident. |

Marubun contributes to the French Bathyscaphe deep-sea exploration and research project. Began the first technological services provided by a trading company. |

Introduced the first laser equipment in Japan. |
| 1965 |
First to introduce an integrated circuit in Japan. |

Participated in the Kalimantan deep sea oil drilling project. |

Participated in the launching of the "Mu" scientific satellite. |

Participated in the N-I Rocket project, and in a geothermal electric power generation project. |

| 1983 |
Marubun's contribution to the easing of trade friction is recognized, and we receive the first award granted by the Minister of International Trade and Industry to a business that has contributed to imports. Contributions to American industry through imports over the last 20 years are recognized, and we receive a letter of thanks from the United States Commerce Department. |

Provided technological cooperation in research to demonstrate the existence of elementary particles by tau neutrino compensation. |

Participated in the "H-I Rocket" project. |

Propose and deliver "ozone laser radar" to confirm ozone layer depletion. |

Present honorary chairman Yoshio Horikoshi is awarded ĽO.B.E. for contributing to the development of British industry. |

Participated in the ALFLEX landing experiment of the Japanese space shuttle "HOPE". |

The Marubun Research Promotion Foundation is established and begins support activities. |

The Marubun Research Promotion Foundation received a "Designated Public Interest Corporations" authorization from Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Japan. |
