Procurement

CSR procurement efforts

CSR efforts are also carried out actively by our customers.
Now that compliance and CSR are subject to strict scrutiny, it is believed that the scope of the responsibility for labor, the environment and corporate ethics, etc. in the manufacturing process of products has come down to the overall supply chain, rather than remaining within the relevant company.
If a problem arises in any part of a supply chain, the company that caused the problem will be eliminated from the market and society, which will endanger its existence.
Accordingly, a high level of CSR efforts has come to be required for Marubun, a supplier, as well.
These efforts are also required for Marubun’s supply chains.

We will ask all our business partners who are involved in the business of the Marubun Group to understand the importance of CSR procurement and cooperate with it.

Efforts against conflict minerals

Conflict minerals are minerals (tantalum, tin, gold and tungsten) produced in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries that are used as sources of funds for local armed groups.
It is now required that information on the use of conflict minerals in products be disclosed in accordance with the relevant legal regulations in the United States and the OECD guidelines.

As a CSR procurement effort, Marubun will not only encourage its supply chains not to use conflict minerals, but will also cooperate with investigations undertaken by customers.
