The action plan compiled by the government’s SDGs Promotion Headquarters states that the SDGs will be promoted through the realization of Society 5.0, a new future society that will be realized by incorporating innovative technologies such as AI, IoT, robots, and big data into all industries and society. It is expected to solve many social issues such as health and medical care, environment and climate change, safety and disaster prevention.
As a trading company specializing in electronics, we are using our expertise and knowledge to contribute to the realization of Society 5.0 and the achievement of the SDGs. Below are some examples of our efforts.
Case1：Local 5G Infrastructure Construction Support Project
Local 5G is a 5G communication network that is built independently within a limited area, such as a company. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications anticipates that the spread of local 5G will promote telemedicine, remote control of construction machinery, smart factories, automatic farm management, distribution of high-definition video, and the development of telework environments.
We provide various solutions centered on “virtualized mobile cores,” including “mobile core testing,” “network synchronization/synchronization analysis,” “radio propagation simulation,” “radio quality measurement,” and “terminal and application development,” to help local 5G We contribute to the spread of local 5G system design, construction, and operation.
Case 2: High-reliability products for rockets and satellites
In order to build “resilient disaster prevention and mitigation” and “response and adaptation to climate change” while aiming to coexist with nature, it is necessary to develop Earth observation satellites and advanced weather observation radar networks. In addition, positioning systems using satellites have become an indispensable part of the infrastructure for daily life.
Satellites are expected to operate for 5 to 15 years in the harsh environment of space, where they are exposed to extremely severe temperature changes and radiation. In addition, once the rocket engines are ignited, no repairs or modifications can be made, so the electronic components and other components used must be extremely reliable.
We contribute to building resilient disaster prevention and mitigation systems by supplying highly reliable components that meet various requirements for use in satellites and various microwave-related products used in weather observation radars, as well as providing maintenance services.
